Infrared Sauna

About

Infrared is a natural occurring output of the sun, but does not contain the harmful UV rays associated with unprotected sunlight. Infrared rays are completely safe and beneficial to the human body.

Being inside an infrared sauna is similar to lying in the sun on a warm day and feeling the soothing, natural warmth radiate to the core of your body. Unlike a traditional sauna (hot rock or steam) that operates at an air temperature in excess of 200°F, infrared heat has the benefit of being effective at a more comfortable operating temperature of 100° - 150°F. Traditional saunas heat the air, which can make the experience unbearably hot and difficult to breathe. Infrared heat penetrates the human body as opposed to heating the surface of the skin.

Benefits

The benefits of an infrared sauna include body detoxification, treatment for arthritis, skin and scar tissue repair, relief from joint stiffness and pain, and stress reduction. It can also improve the appearance of cellulite and acts as a low impact cardiovascular workout.

As you relax in the gentle infrared heat, your body is hard at work producing sweat to help you detoxify, pumping blood, and burning calories. (up to 600 calories in one session). As your body increases sweat production to cool itself, your heart will work harder to pump blood at a greater rate to boost circulation. This increase in your metabolism will burn calories. This improved circulation also helps to boost the immune system.

When you book a session in our sauna you will have the room for 45 minutes, and are welcome to stay in the sauna for as long as is comfortable during that time. Packages available, great as gifts to friends, family or yourself!
