DEEP STRETCH & SOUND BATH
Led teacher Tanya Robertson this class will incorporate yin and restorative yoga and sound bath meditation. We will cultivate awareness in stillness, and allow active rest in a meditative sound bath with use of gongs, and chimes. Open to all levels.

About the Event
Yin Yoga is a restorative style of yoga where you relax your into longer held floor stretches, allowing you to release some of the deeper tensions and blockages in the connective tissue and joints. With the use of props where needed and spending more time in the poses, you are able to develop a deeper awareness of your own internal world and achieve deeper states of relaxation. Combined with the well known effects and benefits of sound bathing, this class is just the reboot and recharge your nervous system needs.
Sound Bathing is a type of inactive meditation, where you “bathe” in the healing vibrations of sound. You lie comfortably, embraced in a sacred space of relaxation, as you are bathed in a luxurious sonic landscapes. The sound vibrations produced help to shift your mind into a more relaxed state, allowing for a deepening of the meditative experience.
The fusion of these two modalities provides a fantastic toll for self-care and an extremely powerful and pleasant way to release stress, help heal the nervous system and reduce physical pain.
