Join us for a workout under the stars!
Snowshoeing is a great cross training workout to do in the winter. When you snowshoe, you lift the legs higher than when you are running. Since your body needs to work harder to keep you warm in the cold temperatures you also burn more calories!
For the workouts, expect interval training (strength and cardio exercises) like:
- Tree squats
- Walking or Jogging through deep snow
- Hill climbs
- Arm toning exercises using a resistant band
Note: Anything can be modified to meet your personal physical needs. Can't run? No big deal - walk instead. Shoulder injury? No worries, ditch the arm resistant exercises.
These workouts are about creating a habit.
Movement in the evenings. Outdoor nature time and connecting with others. It's about doing something healthy for your mind and body.
